Shwop@work
Marks and Spencer's Shwop@work is coming back to the University, alongside the launch of The Enterprise of Culture research project and the Sustainable Fashion: Next Generation student challenge.
Bring in any items of clothing you no longer want and you'll receive a £5 M&S voucher (valid when you spend £35 or more in an M&S store on clothing, beauty or homeware). All the clothes you bring in will be given to Oxfam to be resold, reused or recycled. Nothing goes to landfill and the money raised will go to help support people living in poverty.
Drop boxes will be set up in: the M&S Company Archive on the Western Campus; the Parkinson Building; the Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building and the Refectory. In March last year the University of Leeds Shwopped an amazing 48 bags of clothing! Please spread the word to help us beat last year’s record and help Oxfam fight poverty around the world.
This initiative is organised by the M&S Company Archive.
