Following on from a Masters in Museums Studies, Helen's career began at Household Cavalry Museum as Deputy Curator. This included redevelopment of the galleries in Windsor and the establishment of a new visitor attraction at Horse Guards.

After this, Helen headed north to Leeds Museums and Galleries to run the temporary exhibition programme at the redeveloped Leeds City Museum. After five years she took on the role of Partnerships Coordinator following Arts Council Major Partner Museum funding.

Before joining the Royal Armouries, Helen worked for a brief spell with the Audience Agency looking at visitor research in museums. She is currently Head of Interpretation at the Royal Armouries, the national museum of arms and armour. In this role, Helen leads a team responsible for temporary exhibitions the development and maintenance of all permanent displays and the Royal Armouries' digital offer.

Helen co-hosts Heritage Show + Tell alongside Helen Graham from the Centre for Critical Studies in Museums, Galleries and Heritage.
